Columbia Photo offers image restoration services. In the truest sense of the word, what we do is digital photo reconstruction. Your original photo is not changed in any way. Whether it's a torn and creased print or a badly gouged, faded and smudged slide or negative, we begin by scanning the image into our computers, then meticulously repair and recreate the damaged and missing areas of the original. There are some problem photos beyond fixing: images which are underexposed or badly out of focus to start with, or film or prints which are so severely damaged there is simply not enough left to work with.
We successfully restore priceless family photographs and welcome the opportunity to view and evaluate your images, offering a price quote for our work. Each image restoration project is unique so quotes are just estimates until we have scanned and thoroughly inspected the original. We will never begin a restoration or charge you for anything beyond a standard slide scan, film scan, or print scan until you have personally approved the project and price.
Digital photo tinting enhancement techniques add soft colors to black and white photos or illustrations and can lend an antique feel to even the most modern subjects. The subtle colors can add a life-like blush to the cheeks of a child or draw attention to a single element like a bride's bouquet or a sunset sky.
Columbia Photo offers professional slide scanning and film scanning of 35 mm slides and negatives, in addition to scanning original prints and fine art. We also scan 110 slides, 126 and 127 film. Standard scanning resolutions start at 300DPI and go up to 4000DPI. We use the latest state-of-the-art professional scanning equipment. Our Braun MultiMag Slide Scan 4000 and the Nikon Super Cool 8000 scanner are equipped with DIGITAL ICE for dust and scratch removal which is included in every slide and film scan at no additional charge. Columbia Photo does not have minimum order requirements, so large or small, we put the same effort into providing the best slide scans and film scans possible on every order. We use only the finest equipment and bring many years experience in scanning film and scanning slides, saving images on quality media.
From rich, detailed scans, Columbia Photo can remove red eye, dust and scratches, adjust color. Even if your original snapshot is small, we can provide quality reprints and enlargements or we can archive images to a disk or jump drive. Columbia Photo can also create a slide show of your images that you can watch on television or computer.
